Become a Member
Deafblind (NZ) Incorporated (Society) invites you to become a member of our organisation. We are a consumer-driven organisation run by deafblind people for deafblind people – our membership includes all ages and cultures.
Becoming a member of Deafblind (NZ) Incorporated means you will become part of an organisation that exists for and is about empowering deafblind people to speak for ourselves, and not having others speak for us. Membership subscriptions are reasonable and you can choose how involved you want to be. Becoming a member of the Society indicates your support for the work we are doing.
Individual (voting) members must be 16 years of age or older and meet the criteria for full registration with and be eligible to receive Deafblind Services from the RNZFB. Individual (voting) membership subscriptions are as follows:
Waged (working) members $10 per year
Non-waged (non-working) members $5 per year
Membership for Life (a one-off payment) can be purchased for $200 upon application to the Executive Committee.
We also have a Junior membership category for deafblind children and young people up to 16 years of age – membership criteria is the same as for members 16 years and older. For family and friends who are not deafblind and who support our work
We also have an Associate Member category, who are not deafblind. Annual subscriptions are $10 for waged and $5 for non-waged.
